Presque Isle High School Class Reunion - Class of ‘79 To keep the local, die hard reunion planners making all the decisions… I thought of something we could all do while we are waiting for the results of our meeting this week - to know the time and place of our class reunion. I thought we could do something about the music. With the DJ and slideshow, - we can all have something to say about songs you want played at our class reunion. Go ahead - post a list, your top 5, 10, whatever songs you think would make our class reunion cool, very 1979 - . We all have different memories and songs that take us back there - dish them out here and I will compile a list of songs from the class to be pulled together for the reunion party.

Disco and Funk - Already working on a list of Cheap Trick. The Playlist is growing!
aaaahhhhhhh noooooo disco
phil is being eeeeviiiiilllllll
If we do the disco does that mean we have to have “outfits” to match the era?????
Hey guys nice list how about Pink Floyd?
Jill, I vote for no outfits to match. They were not that good in the 70’s.:-)
dan hicks and the hot licks????? Wow, where did that come from?
Cheech & Chong somewhere in there.
I don’t see AC/DC
Animal House
Meatloaf (nothing like a little “Paradise by the Dashboard Lights” happening in the background during a makeout session)
Hey Wayne, my daughter actually met Tommy Chong in New york at his book signing- she is definately a hippies child and I’m not sure where i came from unless she is just ahead of her time or is so knowlegdable about music and times that that’s where she has chose to exert her energy. Good lord she has bucked the system
Great list Maureen! And cudo’s to Wayne for “Meatloaf”! Maybe add some “Beach Boys” for summer fun?
Jill - Cheech & Chong are touring right now. They were just at Mohegan Sun in CT over the weekend. They are doing a lot of their old stuff, some of it just modernized. I hear that it’s extremely funny.
bachman turner overdrive (bto)
leon russell
james gang
if we are going to go funk
johnson brothers
has anyone mentioned the doobie brothers?
Hey Maureen, Devil went doewn to georgia is Cahrlie Daniels Band an they all looked like zz top. Wayne I can see you there absorbing the atmosphere and tryng to explain to the kids that you and your classmates really are cool and know whats going on!!!!!
Now “funk” is where I’m going to need to some specific songs or bands - otherwise I could be asking the DJ to play some weird stuff!
Outlaws,maybe Blue Oyster Cult
Lennon!!!
Wow! Great list of tunes.. Reminiscing about my 8-track collection….what about Wild Cherry - Play That Funky Music, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Styx and J. Geils Band? Kudos to the reunion planning team. Let me know if I can help with anything.
Hi all!!! How about a little Abba (a song titled–I Wonder—one i voted for way back when) It’s geart to see all the responses. Steve Lennon….how the hell are ya!! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Very anxious to see everyone! Doobie Brothers…good one!
Wayne good to hear from you.Renee I’m good. How the hell are you? Can’t wait to see you and everybody else and catch up.
30 years, Steve! We all have a lot of catching up to do…
….can’t wait!
Um, duh! How about KC and the Sunshine Band - Boogie Shoes.
So, I’ve been taking this cardio-kickboxing class for about 10 years. At this point I think I could defend myself pretty well if I ran into maybe up to four gang-bangers in an alley way – frankly, really wailing on them – but only if there’s a disco/workout remix in the background. That’s the rub. Otherwise, I’m toast, really sweaty toast.
